Rugby Club Leipzig provides a young and aspiring environment with our senior male team taking part in Germany’s first division competition.

Boasting a succesful history in the GDR (nine championships), the club’s long-term goal is to build on this success and to establish our sport in eastern Germany. Major steps have been taken by establishing a partnership with the Sharks Academy from Durban, South Africa including transfers of knowledge, manpower and several opportunities concerning training camps.

In addition to our senior male squad the club is proud to have a female team. Our women are mainly focused on the Olympic Sevens Rugby.

As part of developing the club’s environment, we truly welcome players of all age, sex and nationality.

Join us at trainings at our pitch (Stahmelner Straße 218, 04159 Leipzig). All you need is training gear (shoes and mouth guard) and passion about our loved Rugby.
